with Barbara Hand Clow "Mayan Code" Time Acceleration and the Mayan Code We explore time with Barbara Hand Clow through her latest books: The Mind Chronicles: A Visionary Guide into Past Lives, spanning 100,000 years of human consciousness by means of past-life regression under hypnosis; and The Mayan Code: Time Acceleration and Awakening the World Mind, spanning 16.4 billion years of evolution in the universe. The real point of the last years of the Mayan Calendar is to maximize the potential of time acceleration—the creative force that drives evolution. The critical leap year for learning how to do this is 2007, when all the strings and patterns of the past weave into one unified intention—the advanced unifying synthesis. Barbara Hand Clow is the author of eleven books, including The Pleiadian Agenda and Alchemy of Nine Dimensions. She has been a teacher of Maya and Cherokee wisdom for twenty years. She lives in Vancouver, BC, and her website is www.handclow2012.com.

with Charles Fisher "Dismantling Discontent" Dismantling Discontent: Buddha's Way through Darwin's World shows how human discontent or suffering can be seen as part of our evolutionary heritage and how meditation, also a part of that evolution, addresses that discontent. Science and spiritual practice have long been considered mutually exclusive, and yet they are both methods of investigating the universe in which we live. Dismantling Discontent offers a provocative perspective on our existential suffering from the metaphorical viewpoints of Darwin and Buddha, synthesizing their two approaches—science and meditation—into a powerful union and shattering previous assumptions about the incompatibility of these two very different ways of knowing. Beginning with disease, old age, and death in the wilds, Dismantling Discontent follows discontent from its animal origins to its expression in hunter-gatherer, agricultural and finally modern societies and looks at how meditation may ameliorate suffering. Homo sapiens (man the smart) is unfortunately not man the happy. Evolutionary changes to our ancestors’ bodies and brains endowed us with an increased capacity for creative productivity and the discontent that comes with disconnection from our environment. This duality of our evolution sets us apart from other species and inspires our most profound intellectual and spiritual yearning.
